Hp HP CopyJet Color

Ink cartridge

After replacing the color cartridge on my HP Officejet 95, I cannot get any color to print. I get the message to align the print heads which I do to no avail. It just keep asking me to align the heads again. I have tried several cartridges (that are working in another printer)but nothing works. The black prints well. What do I do at this point? G----------
You need to replace the color cartridge. Take the color cartridge and place it print head side down on a damp paper towel. You should see 3 stripes of color - cyan, magenta and yellow. The alignment fails because the color is not printing out on the alignment page.
Good luck.

Thank you sue o. I have tried several partially full cartridges including one that was a refill from Costco and supposedly full. One of the four produced a little blue but that was it. All of them passed the moist-paper-towel test that you described. Any other thoughts?? G---------- - Gari
Do all of the cartridges produce a nice solid line of each color? You should only have to briefly touch the print head on the towel to get the 3 lines of each color. It doesn't matter how "full" the cartridge is if there isn't enough ink at the nozzle plate when printing to produce the required pattern when printing the alignment page. Buy a new HP cartridge.

Hi Sue O. One of the subject cartridges does produce the three color bars you describe but not with clear borders/edges. The three colors are there but are not solid - they have splotches of areas that have no color. I have ordered a new cartridge and I will see how that works. Thanks again for your help. I will report the results of the new cartridge. G------------------ - Gari
