Epson Epson Stylus NX400

Epson Stylus NX400 Error Message

My NX400 displayed "Replace Ink cartridge" message with "Click OK to proceed". When I clicked OK I got an error message that showed "Press the OK button to replace the ink cartridges." That would only take me back to the first replace ink cartridge message. Pressing any other button only showed "Invalid operation." I purchased a new Epson cartridges and installed them and the messages remain the same.

I cannot get my printer off these messages and it will not print. Is there a reset solution for this printer?

Try removing the ink cartridge. Turn off the printer. Then turn the printer back on and reinstall the ink cartridge again when the printer asks for it.

Also make sure the ink cartridge seats all the way. Sometimes they just don't seat right. Or the chip may not have proper contact with the contacts in the carriage.

Wes, did this work for you or are you just making an off the cuff suggestion without knowing if it will work or not? (It didn't work for me, btw)

I have had this same issue - attempted to just turn off printer, no luck.

Took out the low ink cartridges, but got a different error.

Is there a way to just override the error message?
