Hp HP DesignJet 130

HP Designjet 130 error 3 symbols

I've got the above machine with 3 symbols on display:The paper jam, the finger pushing a button & the sheet of paper crossed out. Nothing in the manual gives the option of these 3 being shown together. There are no paper jams in the machine, the carriage moves, I'm stumped, anyone any clues? Thanks in advance Mike.
I just started to have this exact same problem with my Designjet 130, so I know how frustrated you were. I hope you found an answer for... The paper jam, the finger pushing a button & the sheet of paper crossed out. If you did please tell me what you had to do to fix your designjet 130 ???
Thanks, Bill

Finally fixed this problem with the 3 error symbols , some how the driver was changed to just the 130 instead of the 130nr (I have the roll feed printer). Just go to printers and faxes in the start section, then select your printer and click on it, then select "set printer properties" then select "advanced" and under "new drivers" make sure you have selected "Hp designjet 130nr" then select OK at the bottom and your back in business. I hope this helps someone because it was extremely frustrating experience for me... - Anonymous
Does this error message appears when you turn on the printer or it goes to ready but error appears when you want something to print?
If you are using Tray1 you can check in your drivers is paper source set to Tray 1.
If the error appears when printer is turned on you can open top cover when printer is off and check paper sensor which is located on right side of paper path under carriage rod, 10-15 cm left from your carriage (when printer is properly turned off). It looks like a small black rectangle with 3 wires coming out of it (black, red and blue) please check is this sensor mounted good.
If this error appears when you want to print something please check does printer properly feeds paper, use your hand and move paper gently toward to printer to help printer to pickup paper.

Quick question. Are there any bars below where you usually have the status of your ink tanks and printheads. If there are you need to tell us how many bars in each of the 6 possible places. In other words each line has 4 bars and you need to report how many bars are in each of the 6 sections and if any of them are flashing. That will give us an error code that we can look up for you.

The call was cancelled so have not been back to it. I think there were no bars showing below the three symbols & someone said they thought it was the circular encoder disc but that was not confirmed. Thanks for the help.
Did you get any resolve with this problem?? as i have got the same problem.... ie same symptoms and ejecting the sheet when loaded...

Ok. So I look inside on the left and the encoder disc is off of its peg/post/whatever.
How or who do I get to put it back on? I have some mechanical abilities, so can I do it myself?
Any hints on how to start removing covers?
I'm in the Denver area.

I had this happen on my Designjet also and it was still under warranty. The hp tech said that they don`t do that job in the field. - Anonymous
Hmmmm.... Since my last post, I carefully removed the top and left covers and was able to
put the encoder disc back on it's peg, but I am wondering if it lines up specifically.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

If anyone comes across someone else in need of this fix, I fixed my encoder disc problem successfully. MY hp 130 is back to its old reliable self!

Thanks for the hints and tips, guys!
