Hp HP DesignJet 350C

HP Designjet 350C

Can anyone help with the the following problem.
Designjet 350C has the following LED's on. "plain"; "normal"; "roll"; "error".
These are all steady & not flashing. The manual says a steady error led means a system error.
Can you give any further clues?
thanks - graham
We have the same problem, did you ever figure it out?

The service manual states this is a firmware error. As an HP ASP I would suggest a Service call by a ASP tech with a service manual and tech supports phone #.

Yep, I got that too, it won't even move the carriage.

Saw one not to long ago and it was not a firmware issue, but rather a problem with outdated and dried up ink cartridges.

Hi, I managed to fix mine a while ago.
It turned out to be the circuit board on the cartridge carriage, which was scratched across on the yellow slot, breaking a thin connection.
I tried to use a conductive pen, to repair the line, but it wasn't fine enough.
Fortunately, my brother had a 250, the carriage assembly is exactly the same, it has slots for colour cartridges under the cover, his was just mono, so didn't have the colour firmware upgrade, so I swapped it for mine and it works a treat.
If you can find a cheap 250 mono carriage, it's quite easily swapped over, you will need hex screwdrivers.
Good luck

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the error light combination indicates a faulty cartridge, you might be still able to print in mono by changing the settings.
