I JUST HAD ADVICE FOR ANYONE THAT IS HAVING INK PRINTER CARTRIDGE PROBLEMS WITH THEIR HP 5510. MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING GENUINE HP INK CARTRIDGE. I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS AND THE HP HELP DESK SUGGESTED THIS. NOW IT WORKS PERFECTLY!!!! JUST WANTED TO SHARE THIS INFO IN CASE ANYONE ELSE IS HAVING PROBLEMS!
what does it usually mean when message says "print cartridge error" after replacing both cartridges?

These particular models are easy to keep or toss out of a window.. .. the ink can be from any "manufacturer" not just HP.. it's just that some NON- well known brand names or re-furbished / remanufactured inkjet cartridges tend to be allready stressed out and just waiting to blow ink all over or may have electrical circuts/ paths that may be dammaged or dirty that is not being noticed by the remanufacturer or testing device they use. . so .. it's more likey to fail.

The higher the price, the better the quallity.. (cough cough***)

Before you making any assumptions about whether or not a cartridge is good or bad, always clean the cartridge and carriage electrical contacts with a cotton swab and alcohol.

HP holds the patents on their cartridge technology. They are not about to share their cash-cow with anyone. All non HP branded cartridges are remanufactured unless someone is counterfeiting them in China.
