Epson Epson AcuLaser CX11N

Epson Aculaser CX11N

I'm stumped !

We have an Epson Aculaser CX11N that is reporting Service Req E537. Anybody any ideas ?

Any pointers gratefully received

537 is a fuser failure. You will probably need to replace the fuser to get it going again.

I had to unplug mine from UPS battery backup and plug in into regular outlet. It worked with the UPS for awhile until a few weeks later getting E537 error that wouldn't let machine operate.

I get a white unprinted band down the side of each page. When I pull out the ckeaning rod on the right hand side there is a patch of magenta toner on it every time. I clean this off and the printouts are fine for a few pages. Then it happens again. Any ideas what could be the problem?

I have two of these printers. One only has 10K prints on it and it super clean. I keep getting an error for door E which is that back panel. I have cleaned and checked it many times to no avail, a tech told me it is probably the sensor that is bad. Can't find a solution.

I have a second CX11NF with close to 90K prints and it prints fine in any color but black. Black has blank streaks from the top of the page to the bottom. I tried all the normal fixes and nothing. Tech thought it was the fuser. I took every toner, the fuser and the photo conductor from the other machine and placed them all in this machine and same problem! I don't get it. I can't think of any other place that could cause this problem.

I really like this printer - when it works. It is rather frustrating to have two bad ones so if anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

My wife had a paper jam near the fuser. She decided to "real carefully" slice the paper to help her pull it out. Well, she sliced the black plastic drum cover of the fuser unit!

Is there anyway to separately replace the drum, or must I buy the whole fuser, at about $450 to $500? It would eb cheaper to by a whole new machine!

Any help is appreciated! Thanks, Christoph

liggy, Both the drum unit and fuser assembly are only available as complete units. Depending on the provider they could cost $200-$400 each. Hope this helps
