Does anybody know how to fix/clear the "machine error 76" I got from Brother MFC 9600 Printer/Fax machine?
I tried tricks including power-off and power-on again and it did not clear the error message.

Thanks!

Switch the machine on with the front cover open and then press 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 this reset it to factory defaults. This worked on our machine

Try press ing MENU (or Option) *,2,8,6,4 and going into Maintenance mode. Then press 99 to get out.

If the fuser has been shut down due to overheating or power surge, this will reset it.

Otherwise, you need to contact a Brother shop and get a new fuser installed.

When I Start my machine it give me error 77. I follow these steps
1) Unplug machine.
2) Hold down menu key while plugging in machine.
3) Enter 99 while holding down menu key
4) After it says "PLease wait" hit the stop/exit button to get out of the maintenance mode

After this it gives me error 76.
