Epson Stylus SX415 (Model C351C) Cleaning advice needed.
Hi, My Epson Stylus SX415 (Model C351C) is physically very dusty and dirty. It still prints wonderfully and I don't want to do anything stupid and change that. I would appreciate any advice on how to achieve that. Any links to useful posts, on materials to use etc, would be very gratefully accepted. I'm thinking that there are probably certain things common to all printers and some things specific to Epsons?
Window Cleaner and a paper towel is what I use for cleaning printers.
if you want a deep cleaning you will have to get the service manual for your printer, in the manual it is explained how to disassembly the printer, you do not need to take apart the entire printer, just a few plastic covers so you can have acces to the inside of the machine. Once there use a vacuum cleaner for the dust, some paper towel for the ink and some window cleaner for the encoders and finally you can put some oil and grease in the gears. You can wasch the plastic covers with water.
