Epson Epson Stylus Photo R1800

Epson R1800, R800, R2400 Waste Ink System

just found this info from other epson forum

Installation of Waste Ink system

Reset Counters

Basically, these are for most epson printers:
1. Install CIS or Cartridge
2. Install Waste Ink Tube and Tank
3. Reset waste ink counter if printer locked up.
4. Reset master counter if printer locked up.
5. Dump waste ink if it is full.

keep doing 3 - 5, then you do not have to send your printer back to service.
where can I buy the waste ink system?
from their website?

you dont have to purchase anything from InkRepublic.com. If you have two tubes and a small bottle, just follow their website and you can easily install it.

If you have CIS from them, they would include waste ink tubes in the package.

Hi, Just installed a CISS to my r1800 and need the counter to reset.
The service utility does not support the reset waste ink counter yet. Anyone who knows an alternative?

Thanks, Jokofix

You can get the reset program directly from Epson's website, www.epson.com/ipr. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and enter the printer identification information. Make sure that you have changed\\cleaned the waste ink pads and\\or have some form of alternative waste ink system in place.
Hope this helps.

I found the best place to go is a guy called Ian Richards you can contact him on 07596 635756 - he does a DVD and the waste pad kit - or you can go to him and he will do the job for you or he will come to you at your home or work place.
I called him out and fair play it cost me £250 but there was no VAT it included the waste pads and his travelling time and time on site. He was in and out within 35 minutes would have taken me a couple of hours.
He also gives great technical support on Epson printers but he will make a small charge of £10 for a length tech support helping hand which to be fair i think is fair.
I know he sells his DVD and waste pads kits for £86 including delivery DIY good idea.
Hope this helps - Anonymous
