Small flat head Screwdriver
Hook tool, compressed air, needle nose pliers, vacuum

1. Using the hook tool remove the two
hopper tension springs (Fig 1).
2. Extend outer hopper shell outward to
free the retaining pins on the left and
right sides of the toner hopper (Fig 2).

3. Remove dr. blade tension spring
by pulling the two outswept arms
away from the cartridge (fig3).
4. Remove the developer roller
contact by sliding it off the
developer roller shaft using a small
flat head screwdriver(Fig 4).

5. Remove developer roller drive
gear ( Fig 5).
6. Remove the developer roller
from the cartridge by lifting the left
side and pulling the roller to the left
while rotating the roller. Be carefull
not to loose the teflon washers
located on each end of the
developer roller (fig 6).

7. Remove the hopper cap and yield wheel than clean the hopper of all residual toner using compressed air or a vacuum. Inspect
the developer roller sealing blades, if they are loose or damaged replace them. Thoroughly clean the foam toner delivery roller with
compressed air being careful not to damage the sealing blades. Using a cotton swab clean the underside of the metering bar
thoroughly of any residual toner (Fig 7).
8. Clean all
electrical contacts
and re-assemble
in reverse order.

11. Remove the C-ring from the black
gear side of the OPC (fig .11).
12. Remove OPC shaft from the white
gear side of the drum (Fig . 12).
13. Remove the two screws holding
the wiperblade (Fig 13).
14. Using a utility knife cut the
double-sided adhesive foam that
secures the blade to the cartridge
shell. Remove blade. (Fig 14).

15. Waste hopper components
(Fig 15).
16. Replace wiper blade and
apply sealing tape to prevent
leakage.

17. Install replacement chip as
shown (Fig 17).
· Avoid bending or twisting
the chip.
· Remove adhesive backing
· Insert chip into slot on
cartridge, sliding it OVER
existing chip. Hold adhesive
away from the housing untill
it is in proper position.
· Once in position apply gentle
pressure to secure
