the small locking tabs on the front of the cartridge.
3. Remove the spring from the separator card end of the cartridge, and

5. Lift up on the hopper and separate from the waste bin.
6. Holding the waste bin, push the corona wire assembly to the left until it's pins
separate from their holes, and lift up and to the right to remove.
7. Pull back the shutter door and hold it open, then remove the screw holding
the drum axle in and remove the drum axle being careful not to drop or dis-
lodge the drum (Fig. 2). Now lift the drum by it's small gear, twist clockwise
and remove.
8. Wipe the drum off with a SOFT, clean cloth and store it out of the light. Re-
place if necessary.
9. Remove the wiperblade and dump the toner out of the wastebin. Vacuum

the small mylar scavenger blade.
10. Wipe off any residue toner from the wiperblade, inspect for nicks, gouges etc.
replace if necessary. Pad lightly with padding powder and re-install onto the
wastebin. This is the time to install a drum protector pad on the shutter. Set
the waste bin aside.
11. Clean the corona wire assembly thoroughly!! Clean the wire, the side walls
and the felt pads. This unit MUST be clean! There are two industry methods
of cleaning this assembly, manual and ultrasonic. The manual method re-
quires using a Scotchbrite® pad. Use a small piece of the pad and gently
move the pad up and down the length of the wire. The ultrasonic method re-
quires placing the entire corona assembly in an ultrasonic solution. Set the
assembly aside.

12. Remove the cap from the toner hopper. Dump any remaining toner from the
hopper and use compressed air or a vacuum to remove all residual toner.
Inspect the surface of the mag roller for scratches or signs of wear and
replace if necessary. Do not touch the surface of the mag roller with your
bare hands, skin oils will cause image problems. We recommend gapping the
doctor blade to .010.
13. Once the hopper has been cleaned, insert your seal and then coat the mag
roller with some of the toner you will be using to fill the hopper. Next, fill the
hopper and replace the hopper cap.

gear (Fig 6). Rotate the color wheel 300 degrees counter clockwise.
Replace the gear and snap counter unit shut. Place counter back onto
hopper.
15. Now it is time to reassemble the cartridge. First, pick up the waste bin and
hold it with the shutter opened, lower the drum into position, holding it by the
small gear. Insert the drum axle and secure with the screw.
16. Put the corona assembly back into position, pushing it to the left while holding
the waste bin and lowering the pins on the assembly into their respective
holes.
17. Join the hopper to the waste bin insuring that the gears mesh properly.
18. Insert the small hinge pin, reconnect the left side spring and install the right
