Anakenesis® PCR cleaner

Instructions:

1. Remove the toner cartridge shell.

a. Remove the pin, Phillips head screw, and its insert on the left side of the

cartridge (Fig. 1).

b. Remove the pin, the small grounding screw and the larger screw with its

insert, on the right side of the cartridge (Fig. 1).

c.

Release the center clasp on the front of the cartridge, lift up on the left side

and remove top cover (Fig. 2).

2. Separate the toner hopper/magnetic roller assembly from the OPC drum/toner

waste bin assembly (two springs, one plastic pin (Fig. 3).

3. Remove the PCR (Fig. 4). Push the PCR assembly to the right and lift up.

Remove the phillips head screw holding the hub on the small gear.

NOTE: To clean the PCR, apply a small amount of Anakenesis® PCR cleaner

to a lint free cloth and gently wipe the roller. Use a Q-tip and alcohol to clean

the

conductive clip that holds the roller.

4. Remove the drum axle and the OPC drum (Fig. 5). Clean, inspect and

lubricate the drum and store in a dark place. Replace if necessary.

5. Remove the cleaning blade (2 screws - Fig. 6).

a. Clean, inspect and lubricate the cleaning blade (remove excess padding

powder). Replace if necessary.

b. Clean the waste bin of all old waste toner. Be careful not to bend, fold, or

crease the mylar strip.

c. Install the cleaning blade (2 screws).

6. Remove the gear box then the toner hopper plug. Dump residual toner.

Use compressed air to remove residual toner from toner hopper. Remove the

magnetic roller and clean with compressed air. Clean the contacts with

a cotton swab saturated with 99% IPA. Install toner hopper seal. Fill toner

hopper with toner then put the gear box back on.

7. Lubricate the OPC and install (1-screw, 1-gear hub).

8. Install the PCR.

9. Join the toner hopper/ magnetic roller assembly to the OPC drum/toner waste bin

assembly (two springs, one plastic pin).

10. Install the toner cartridge shell (two plastic pins, two screw insert, three screws).
