1. Separate the wastebin(OPC unit) and toner hopper (2 pins, 1 spring).

2. Remove the OPC drum (2 screws, Fig. 2). NOTE: Move the shutter to the

open position to access the 2 hub screws. Remove the hub. Lift the OPC

drum by the large helical gear. Clean, inspect and lubricate the drum.

Replace if necessary.

3. Remove the primary charge roller (PCR). Apply Anakenisis® PCR cleaner

to a clean, lint-free cloth. Wipe the length of the PCR until all the residue is

removed (Fig. 3). Make sure to clean the black conductive clip that holds the

PCR with a cotton swab saturated with 99% IPA.

4. Remove the wiper blade from the OPC unit and clean with a lint-free cloth

saturated with 99% IPA. (2 screws). Dump the remaining toner from the

waste bin and use compressed air to remove residual toner.

NOTE: Be careful not to crimp or bend the thin mylar strip.

5. Install clean wiperblade and secure with 2 screws.

6. Install

clean

PCR.

7. Install lubricated OPC with axle hub (2 screws).

8. Remove toner hopper plug and empty out remaining toner (Fig 4). Use

compressed air to remove all residual toner.

9. To disassemble the toner hopper: remove the mag roller end plate on the

right side of the cartridge (2 screws). Clean the contact with a cotton swab

saturated with 99% IPA.

10. Gently lift the mag roller from the hopper unit and remove the bushings, mag

roller bearing and the drive gear. Use compressed air to remove toner from the

surface of the mag roller. Clean bushings with compressed air or a cotton swab

saturated with 99% IPA.

11. Remove the toner hopper plug and empty out remaining toner. Use com-

12. Remove the doctor blade (2 screws). Use a clean, lint-free cloth to clean the

blade. Use compressed air to remove all residual toner.

13. Install the doctor blade and secure with 2 screws.

14. Install the mag roller (with clean bushings), then replace the gear cover.

15. Fill the hopper unit with toner and install the hopper cap.

16. Attach the OPC unit and toner hopper (replace the pins and re-connect

the springs).
