Instructions:
1. With handle of toner unit toward you, press gray clips toward center. Release
drum unit by pulling down and out (Fig. 1).
2. Remove one screw from white flange on elbow (the elbow contains toner).
Take note of how white flange fits over black flange on elbow.
3. Remove elbow while being careful not to damage internal waste spring.
4. Pull free end of drum at an angle from unit while rotating it back and forth until

drum shaft is free of the white plastic rectangular bearing.
5. Remove waste toner from drum. Clean and inspect the drum (replace if
necessary).
6. To remove wiper blade, press blade against tension springs and lift rear of
black plastic retaining clip. Pull blade straight out. Clean and pad blade (re-
place if necessary).
7. While being careful not to damage mylar scavenger blade, vacuum toner from
auger.
8. To reassemble the wiper blade, place retaining clip on metal shield of blade
(clip should be away from rubber blade). Slide blade into drum unit housing

while insuring the metal edge of the blade is in the left and right guide slots.
Push blade against springs until clip extends through hole provided. Push
down on end of retaining clip to lock blade in place.
9. Reassemble the rest of the drum unit in reverse order. When replacing the
elbow, the black flange fits over the auger portion of the elbow while the white
flange fits over the drum side. NOTE: Do not over tighten white flange screw.
10. Cover the drum unit before setting it aside to start on the toner unit.
11. Start on the toner unit by detaching the end of each spring(located on the left
and right sides) on the unit (rear portion of springs are captive Fig. 2).
12. Remove two screws from each side of the toner unit (a total of four screws

13. After removing the retaining plates from each side, remove the shell from the
unit and set aside.

14. Vacuum residual toner from hopper after removing cap from the left side of
the toner unit.
15. Use Alcohol and a cotton swab to clean the magnetic (mag) roller contacts
(Fig. 5). NOTE: Removal of the mag roller is not recommended!
16. Wipe mag roller with clean cloth and inspect it for damage.
17. Use Scotchbrite® pads and alcohol to clean all contacts on toner unit and
shell (Fig. 6).
18. Refill hopper with toner and recap. While reassembling toner unit in reverse

order, be sure the mag roller contact touches the contact inside the shell on
the left (Fig. 6). NOTE: Use Fig. 7 as a guide to insure proper mag roller
contact placement.
