1. Turn the printer to the OFF position.

2. Open the cover and remove the developing block from the printer (Fig. 1).

3. Grasp the toner transfer unit by its handles (Fig. 2) and remove it from the

basket. Place the toner transfer unit on a piece of scrap paper.

4. Tap the top of the toner cartridge lightly to shake any adhering toner into the

tub below the cartridge.

5. Press the cartridge release tab and slide the old cartridge to the left, then

remove the cartridge and discard it.

6. Shake the new cartridge left and right a few times before lowering it into the

notches on the toner transfer unit (Fig. 3). Do not slide it into place yet.

7. Holding the toner transfer unit in place by pressing down the toner cartridge,

pull the sealing film out to the side until the seal is completely removed (Fig. 4).

Tap lightly on the toner cartridge.

8. Slide the cartridge into place and pull the toner transfer unit back into the bas-

ket.

9. Replace the cleaning wand.

10.Put the developing block back into the printer. Press down gently on the drum

units handles then close the cover.
