1. Remove the three screws on the
contact side endplate (Fig .1).
2. Remove the three screws on the other
endplate ( OPC drive gear side)
(Fig .2)

3. While holding the drum shutter up, slide
the end cap (geared side) slightly allowing
the drum shutter guidepost to become free
from the endplate. When the shutter is free
from the endplate remove it, taking care
not to loose the recoil spring ( Fig 3).
4. Using a hook tool, remove the hopper
tension springs from the endcaps (Fig 4).

5. Remove the endplate from the geared
end of the cartridge ( fig5).
6. Remove the end plate locking bar that
runs behind the toner hopper ( fig 6).

7. Hold the OPC drive gear and
pull it off the OPC axle on the
opposite (contact end plate). Set the
drum aside. With the drum
removed disconnect the waste
hopper from the contact end plate
(Fig 7).

9. Remove the tension springs
from the retaining post on the
hopper. Please note that the
tension spring on the contact
side of the toner hopper is
smaller than the other spring.
( fig. 9).
10. Remove the two screws
holding the wiper blade on
the waste hopper, clean out
all waste toner (Fig 10).

11. Remove the large helical
drive gear and the two smaller
ones (Fig .11).
12. Remove the screw from the
Dr. Bar tension spring holder and
then remove the tension spring
(Fig 12).

13. Using a small flat-head
screwdriver remove the
developer roller
bushing by gently
prying it away from the
developer roller (Fig
13).
14. Lift and remove the
developer roller from
the toner hopper (Fig
14).

15. Clean the inside of the
hopper with dry, filtered
compressed air or a vacuum.
Clean the underside of the dr.
Bar with a Q-tip, as well as
the developer roller rubber
seals located at the ends of the
toner hopper ( Fig 15).
16. Individual cartridge
components from the toner
hopper ( Fig 16). Before re-
assembly you will need to
replace the chip.
