Installation Instructions

Brother TN 200/300/500

1. Turn off the machine. Open the top cover.

2. Remove the drum unit from the machine by holding each side of the drum unit by its handles and
gently lifting upward.

3. Gently turn the toner cartridge lever toward the front of the drum unit until it stops.

4. Remove the used toner cartridge by gently sliding it out of the drum unit. Dispose of the used toner
cartridge properly.

5. Gently shake the new toner cartridge side-to-side five to six times.

6. Remove the protective seal tape.

7. Install the new toner cartridge into the right-hand-side of the drum unit, aligning the guide bar on
the toner cartridge with the guide slot in the drum unit.

8. Lock the new cartridge in place by gently turning the toner cartridge lever toward the back of the
drum unit until it stops.

9. Reinstall the drum unit into the machine.

10. Close the top cover. Turn on the machine.
