Problem:

During printer warmup cycle a service 50 error message is displayed on the LCD panel.

Cause:

If you power the printer off for 10 minutes and the problem temporarily goes away, then it is definitely a bad AC power module. This is the cause 90% of the time, with the other 10% being a burnt out quartz fusing lamp (Click here for information on how to test the fusing lamp).

Solution:

Replace the necessary parts, all of which are included in this repair kit (along with easy to follow directions).
