power supply is the large metal box the ac cord plugs into Theres a bit of disassembly involved in replacing it but its not terribly difficult There really is no way to check Forum)

My 610 works fine using a USB cable connection The 610 was also designed to run with a Bluetooth dongle assuming your pc is also Bluetooth compatible and Canon sell a dongle for the job which connects to the printer vie the USB socket at front of printer Bluetooth works for normal A4letter printing Does not work when scanning at all and when printing photos from the pc is VERY slow like 4 minutes for a 6x4 print using default settinge print time via cable is c30 seconds so the printer is ok Bluetooth fine for cellphone keyboard and mouse connections and have even disabled those functions to see if photos printed quicker nope I have removed and reinstalled the softward and bluetooth connection Two things happen: 1 Print first via USB cable fine c30 seconds Then switch to Bluetooth and back to c4 minutes Try switching back to USB cable and it is still trying to print via Bluetooth and will no longer recognise the USB cable 2 Reboot the computer having first made sure the default printer is in fact USB cable connection and still only looks for the Bluetooth connection Only way I could get the printer to recognise the USB cable connection again was to remove the Bluetooth setup in printer properties so there is no longer any connection for Bluetooth 3 All 6 x 4 Bluetooth prints take c4 minutes but are otherwise fine My thoughts: A Data transmission between PC and printer via Bluetooth is just dreadfully slow If this the case B Bluetooth dongle in printer no good C Canon 610 not really designed to work in all its modes via Bluetooth ie newish tech and Canon not got their act together D I am missing something simple Anybody got any ideas PLEASE Thanks Bruce Anybody any ideas

<dc:subject>Printer Forum</dc:subject>

<item before you leave plug it back in a run the self test by pressing the button If it comes out blank take the printer and your paper to the vendor and have them try it This way you take any chance of any component on the main board as having some effect Have the vendor plug the printer in front of you and do the test in front of you

<dc:subject>Printer
