3000 (InkJet Forum)

Hi Folks My Epson 3000 unused for a few years now I bought it new in 97 The current ink cartridges use by dates 2002 and 2003 A recent nozzle test shows the coloured inks still working but no black pattern After quite a few cleaning cycles still no black patternI have taken the cover off and cleaned the pads in the parking station and am pondering further action but first more tests My questions as follows: 1 Can I print a nozzle test pattern from the printers control panel when the printer isnt connected to a computer 2 The printer was origonally used with a powermac 7300200 OS94 from memory via an ethernet connection I am currently using an imac with Snow Leopard is there a compatable printer driver for this OS Williard

<dc:subject>InkJet Forum</dc:subject>

<item on the ink levels You will receive a message on your computer screen when you need to change a cartridge And you only need to replace one cartridge at a time Hope this same image unit as the clp315 or clp310 Both of these are printers only but here in the us sell for about 120140 new They come with toner cartridges starter 750 page for the color but if you can get one in the UK for the same price as in the US that is the way I would go The image unit is based on prints made and since you have refilled your toners not sure how many copies you have made but maybe time for new image unit and buying the printer maybe the way to go http:cgiebaycouk

<dc:subject>Printer heard at all if you only print one page usually starts around the 2nd or 3rd page but does last until the last page is out Thanks so much for your feedback so far What should I do Would HP be willing to fix it for a fee if I contacted them Is the printer requiring any part that can be replacedfixed I really like this particular printer because it gets nearly 10000 pages on a catridge and newer printers that my company bought only get around 2000 so Id really like to keep this one working if I possibly can

<dc:subject>Printer
