ML 1640 (Printer Forum)

wanted to reset the counter on a ML1640 printer followed the advice above from daemon_fr 91009 7:16 AM and it WORKED perfectly 1 original OS was: Total Page Count: 494 with original cartridge os version: 1010078 09302008 engine version: 10049 spl version: 507 06272006 I downgraded to OS version: os version: 1010066 03282008 To do so I downloaded v 66 from the following link: wwwnewerthcomdaemonML1640_V1010066zip 2 After running firmware I had: Total Page Count: 0 os version: 1010066 03282008 engine version:10044 spl version: 507 06272006 At first under Toner Page CountTone Remaining Toner Status I had: 4294967295 0 Normal After have a few prints went through I had: 5 0 Normal So basically toner count has be reset perfectly and I have NOT needed to short any pin 1 and 4 for example Reset has been done solely by software Thanks daemon_fr lens glass thus dulling down the image Remove the transfer belt unit and toward the front of the space where the transfer belt unit sat Im presuming your 2530DL is constructed similar to my 2430DL is a thin horizontal strip of glass Clean this with soft cloth or tissue

<dc:subject>Printer good news and some bad news After taking it apart and trying to figure out the problem heres what I found 1 There is a small gear that is on the what I call paper advance roller which has 4 rubber rollers Facing the machine from the front the gear is on the left hand side The gear that is on this roller is cracked I tried getting a gear off of another printer that I had laying around and found it has the exact same problem 2 However good news I am going to try to put a small locktype washer on this which I believe will work I will let you know if it does Good luck on yours if you havent gotten rid of it already as I really like mine

<dc:subject>InkJet Forum</dc:subject>

<item
