MFC-8480DN reboots when lan plugged in

Got a brand new MFC-8480DN for the office and it works fine until i plug in the Ethernet cable. Once I do that it reboots every 20 seconds or so until I turn it off. It gets an IP and I've swapped cables and wall ports and even tried different power cables and offices. Any ideas?? I called Brother and they wont take it back I have to take it to some local service center first, what a crock.
