Ive had my printer for about a year but a couple of months ago it started not deleting printed items in the print queue. So afer printing they wouldnt delete themselves and not allow anything else to print. The only way to delete them was to either switch the printer on / off (which didnt / doesnt always work) or re-boot the computer. So its been a real pain in the backside.
I tried to uninstall the printer but it wouldnt let me - it kept saying "the printer is in use please wait" and then nothing would happen. Even if the printer was disconnected it wouldnt make any difference. Then someone recommended an uninstaller prog which removed it.
BUT now I cant download the drivers. They download from the Lexmark site as a zip file but when I try in install it I keep getting a "setup.exe is not responding" and then it closes. This has happened several times with no change.
I have now done a system restore as I need my printer for my job so its really important. However, the print queue problems are still there.
