 | HP Designjet 455CA prompting to 'Align Paper' by mokgrok (11/3/09 1:43 PM) reply | + / - | Hi, I've poked around the forums and seen a couple of posts that were similar but yet a little different than my issue. I am working on a HP Designjet 455CA that is constantly prompting the 'Align Paper' led.
Originally, the printer would reject the paper stock when attempting to load it (they are using a roll of paper). The printer is set to for 'Roll' and 'Paper' on the options. After cleaning the Integrated Line Sensor on the carriage the printer now loads. We ran several test plots and now the printer continuously has the 'Align Paper' led after loading the paper. After re-aligning the paper and raising the bail lever the printer checks the alignment again, and the same process occurs (it feeds out a few inches of paper, raises the bail, and prompts to align paper again). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It could be knocked out of it's holder, or just dirty. Try re-seating all cables and connectors.
