Brother DCP-7040

Is there a way to reset the page counter on a Brother DCP-7040 ? I've seen posts about resetting a 7020 but it doesn't seem to work on the 7040.

There are two holes on each side of the toner cart. All my hubby did is put black electrical tape over the holes, inserted cart., and it's working fine.
