HP 3110 Photosmart error code

My printer displays an error code 0xc05d0381 Ink System Failure. I tried shutting it down, unplugging it, removing the ink cartridges, waiting a few minutes, then plugging it back in, turning it back on, and reinstalling the cartridges. I got one page printed off it with a crinkeled leading edge, then Device Maintenance kicked in and got the same error message again. Any suggestions? Thanks, Gordon
