The power supply is the large metal box the ac cord plugs into. There's a bit of disassembly involved in replacing it, but it's not terribly difficult. There really is no way to check it.

Thank you for the quick reply.
Would you suggest changing the power supply? Everything else, fans, drive etc seems to work fine? Have you had encounters similar to this? if so what was the ultimate fix? Is there a repair kit that is readily available?
Regards & Thanks Again Nancy

For some reason, as the printers got older, I started seeing more lamps going bad then power supplies. The power supply is what supplies the voltage to heat the lamp. I can fix you up with a replacement, but that won't be until Monday. Send me an email by clicking on my name.

I received the power supply and installed it. Still have Error 50. Recall, I had previously checked the fuser per your web sites instructions and everything checked out. Not sure what to do now?
Do you purchase printers for parts? (I have two working power supplies) It also has a bottom paper tray and I think I had extended its memory at one time also.

Thanks for the reply. How do I check the DC Controller?
Do you sell them? if so how $$?
