Inkjet Question by PamH1955 (3/30/08 5:28 PM) reply + / -
I am looking at refilling my HP 2600n for a cost of over $150 for the three cartridges. I have been searching for a decent inkjet printer that has truely refillable (an inexpensive) ink or a printer whose ink replacements don't cost more than the darned printer. I was reading about one that Kodack put out but it had very poor reviews. Am looking forward to hearing your ideas or pointing me in the direction of a website that rates printers and INCLUDES the price of the ink in the evaluation.

Thanks for you time

Pam

Read customer reviews @ Amazon. You could also subscribe to consumer reports. That site in invaluable and worth much more than the annual subscription!

I tell people "if you not printing photos, you don't need a color printer". PERIOD!

Yeah it looks cool, but who really cares if the email you just printed is in color? It's eventually going into the trash anyway.

I know it used to be that Epson would give the printers away at a loss, because if you did the math on the ML's of ink in a cart, they get about $9000.00 a gallon for water based ink. That's why they all have chips in them now! It to ensure continued income and windfall profits. Their 'almost' as bad as the oil companies.
