hp photosmart 3110 all-in-one/improper shutdown by madab (10/9/07 4:44 AM) reply + / -
hi,

i'm gettin really desperate....
i hope someone can help me solve this problem:

the other day i wanted to print out something from my laptop.
unfortunately i didn't notice that i was running on low battery.
while i was printing the computer shut down!!!!

next message i got was:

improper shut down.press ok
after i pressed ok.
ink system failure 0xc19a0003

so then i tried the following to make it work but nothing happened.

Reset the system by holding down the OK, Cancel, Black, and Color buttons down at the same time and turn the 3310 off. Keep holding the buttons down until the printer shuts off and the turn it back on. You will have to turn the printer off twice and then it will recalibrate. Make sure you have new cartiges in the printer so that it can reset. Good Luck!

and

1.
Press the On button to turn the printer off.
2.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
3.
Remove all the ink cartridges.
4.
Wait two minutes.
5.
Plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
6.
Press the On button to turn the printer on.
7.
Install the ink cartridges when prompted.

If the error code does not display, the issue is resolved.
If the 0xc18xxxxx or 0xc19xxxxx ink system error code displays on the front panel, service the printer.

and

advice from hp customer support by email:

don't turn off printer
unplug the power cord from the printer
press ok and cancel and hold it down while you plug the power cord back into the printer
hold it down until the printer shuts down again
then turn it back on and set the language and country etc.

NOTHING WORKED UNTIL NOW!!!I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY ADVICE TO FIX THE PROBLEM.I JUST BOUGHT THE ALL-IN-ONE A YEAR AGO AND CAN'T BELIEVE I ALREADY HAVE TO GET A NEW ONE...THAT'S AT LEAST WHAT HP TOLD ME TO,IF NOTHING WORKED.

thanks....
