HP CLJ 3700 - MULTI 13.20 ERRORS by jseely (10/4/07 10:27 AM) reply + / -
I have heard about this problem but unable to find any definitive help: I am getting the following errors in a cycle, i.e. open door; close door - next error:

13.20.00 - Jam inside uppper rear door
13.20.00 - Jam inside front door
13.20.00 - Jam remove tray 2

Any thoughts???

John

If you don't find any paper do a manual sensor test and attempt to toggle sensors F,G,H,I. One of those sensors will likely not trip. Replace the associated assembly.
F and G = Paper Pickup
H = Fuser
I = Facedown delivery assembly

Again this is only IF you don't find any paper during the procedure dmz linked to.

I tried all those options earlier, my bad for not putting what diagnostics I had done. One other error that has cropped up, once or twice, is a fuser error. I've heard of this problem before but couldn't find anything on web or in my notes that I try to keep on unusual probs.

Thanks for those that have responded earlier.

The paper is probably under the registration flap!
Open the printer, remove the 2 lower toner cartridges, and the transfer belt from the front door, then close the front door slowly until 2 arrows on the lower right inside of the printer align. You can then open the center registration flap and if paper is there you should easily see it and be able to remove it.
