I have a Canon i560 printer, which is roughly 4 years old. I have never had any problems with it up until about a month ago.
The problem is:
When I have the quality set to 'standard' or 'draught' it doesn't print colour properly. Instead I get a horizontal stripey look!
I can only get a proper colour print if I set the quality to 'high'...which wastes a lot of ink.
I have tried 'deep cleaning' and fixing the 'printer head alignment'
I have also looked in the 'troubleshooting'of my printer, but had no luck!
Does anyone have any ideas what the problem may be?

Has anyone here with the stripe problem, tried replacing the printhead p/n QY6-0064, as was suggested on 4/22/08 of this thread?
It worked for me.

Printing perfectly, then I put in three new cartridges...it printed out two sheets perfectly then started to go stripey the next day. I've done all the cleaning, aligning and what-not to no avail.The yellow is not printing on the test (blue prints twice and in stripes). Can I use the cartridges in another Canon printer (obviously one that takes the 3e, or have I wasted them? (Grr!)
