 | hp psc 2110 by molley (3/5/07 3:28 PM) reply | + / - | My hp psc 2110 doesn't work. The computer said the left cartridge was wrong. I checked. It isn't wrong. No.57 cartridge matchs 57. But the cartridge was made in 2004. And the scan doesn't work either. What should I do?

will not scan to document.
when i try to use the hp director from
desktop it give an error: "An error
occurred communicating with the scanning device.
Please ensure that the scanning device is connected properly
and try again."
Everything is connected as I can scan from the
printer glass, but scanning from the glass top does not give
me the option to Scan to Document, so that i can
edit the document

When I press Enter to clear, the print cartridges move to the left side of the printer and stay there and then I get the same message. Also, I hear a noise like the scan bar is trying to move but is being prevented--a fast set of three click-like sounds. Any one who can help?

Something is missing?

It replied I had all the right drivers and then told me how to scan to computer through WINDOWS PHOTO GALLERY, FILE, IMPORT FROM SCANNER OR CAMERA - and it worked! Just something different about Vista I guess.
