HP Officejet d135 Scanner failure

HP Officejet d135 Scanner failure by Parizma (11/18/06 10:34 PM) reply + / -
I have an HP Officejet d135--anyone ever hear of it or is it too old? Anyway, I had a "scanner failure" notation for a long time but was always able to print from PC and fax. I could even photocopy from the flatbed by fooling the machine by turning it off and then back on and hit "print" before the "scanner failure" notation returned to the window.
However, now it will not respond to any printing??? I once had a repairman say it could be a bulb that was going to be needed to be replaced or a big job requiring the scanner to be replaced or overhauled.
I think there could be a way to fix this without a $100. repair bill? Anyone having this happen??? Any ideas...
Come on...I've been reading and it seems there are some pretty smart responses from you guys who really know what you're talking about...Any help for this situation or should I offer this as a big paperweight to anyone needing parts? Thanks,
Parizma

It's most likely time for a new machine.

Not what you wanted to hear, but with no error code being reported you probably have a logic board failure. (unless you have an error message you didn't mention yet)

I would advise testing the machine with a different cable, and/or trying it on another PC.
