espon c86 ink not flowing

Can anyone please assist me in resolving my ink problem. Epson cannot help they say to buy another printer. I have two epson c86 that have the same problem which is that only the black ink cartridge is not flowing and printing after several nozzle checks and printouts. Using brand new epson ink on both units. They tell me the ink has solidified and the problem is not fixable. Is there any solution? I do not want to buy two new printers. Does the ink solvent work and how is it used thanks vikki
