HP CLJ 3700 color problem

HP CLJ 3700 color problem by dwalker254 (5/25/06 7:44 AM) reply + / -
All pages come out with a blue cast. I have swapped out the blue cartridge with a known good one and done the same with the transfer unit. I have also tried a manual calibration and a cleaning. The transfer unit has horizontal bands of blue on it.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I don't work on these too often, but could there possibly be any damage to where the cartridge slides in. Or maybe one side is propped out a little when closing the front cover.

Are there repetitive defects of horizontal bands? If so, how far apart?

Got it!
There were blue bands on the image drum film about .5 in wide. The printouts had blue fairly evenly spread over the whole page.

I compared, checked and cleaned the contacts for the blue cartridge. Made sure the spring loaded tab was moving freely.
All seemed fine.
I then made sure the cartridge was firmly in place.

It worked!!! Something must have been out of kilter. This is a school setting and we have lots of little gremlins around here.

Thank you so much for your prompt response.
