HP LaserJet 3330 ADF scanner lines

HP LaserJet 3330 ADF scanner lines by kastio (4/27/06 12:40 PM) reply + / -
I have a 3330 that works fine other than when I scan/fax/copy anything through the ADF, lines appear done the page. Regular scanning doesn't make any lines appear. I'm sure this has something to do with the ADF scanner but I'm not sure of the exact part or whether the whole ADF should be changed. Any advice is welcome. Thanks

Thouroughly clean the narrow glass to the left of the scanner glass(I use alcohol). As the scanner reads the paper as it is moving over this glass, any dirt on it(even if it is hard to see)will cause lines on your output.

If you open the ADF it'self, you'll most likely find liquid paper on the glass. 9 times out of 10 that's the cause. Just scrape the gunk outta there and clean the glass, should be just fine.
