Problem with HP Officejet 7310 all-in-one

Lately, my Scan To button will not work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled more than once and didn't get much help from HP tech support. The error message says No Connection - computer connected? computer turned on? HP software installed? HP software running? Other times it says You need to install or run HP software for this feature. I can scan through the HP director, but that's alot more steps than just scanning to email. I can print, fax, and copy just fine. Any suggestions? Thanks so much.

The problem is that your software doesn't know what to do when you press the scan button.
Open solution center/director, and look for "scan to... setup" it may also be listed under Settings>Scan Settings>Button Settings. Change it to Save to file or whatever else you desire.
