My printer will no longer print in black, as it seems to believe the cartridge is empty. Is there any way I can fool it into seeing the light?

| Sekilas canon ip1200,ip1600,ip1700,mp150 dll by oho (2/13/07 7:30 PM) reply | + / - | Buat yang ngebaca nih ya, saya kasih saran jangan beli printer yang sistem tank tinta menyatu dengan printhead, repot buanget dan itu umur cartridge ga bakal lama.klo hasil cetak udah mulai bergaris sangat sulit untuk menghilangkannya walaupun di bersihkan pake pembersih cartridge sekalipun.mau ganti cartridge nya aja bisa dapet printer satu lagi.
buat yang punya masalah printer blinking pada canon dan belum dapet softwarenya, pake aja cara manual biar bisa kerja sementara sembari menunggu ada yang mau ngasih resetter gratis :
1. matikan printer
2. cabut kabel power
3. tekan dan tahan tombol power di printer sambil colokin lagi kabel powernya, lampu power printer akan terlihat hidup
4. lepas tombol power
5. tekan lagi tombol power printer
buat yang ngefans ama canon mending cari yang seri canon ip3000 atau canon ip3300, walau mahal dikit tapi di jamin puas buanget.Klo di hitung dengan sering rusaknya catridge di ip1200,1600,1700,mp150 dll lebih murah canon yang saya rekomendasikan.

go into start
control panel
printer and faxes
right click printing preferences
maintenance tab
view printerstatus
click onenable status monitor check mark disappears
click ok on any prompts
sometimes u have to hold the resume button down for a few sec if its flashing

| Re: Reset Ink Counter/Level Canon iP1600 by Heroe Poetranto (3/14/07 12:05 PM) reply | + / - | Ok setelah baca2 smua mesej disini gw secara tidak sengaja bisa ngereset MP150 gw, skrg ga kluar lg mesej low ink nya di windows walaupun LED nya msh tetep kelip2.
Ini panduan yg gw lakuin:
1) With the printer powered off but connected to a power source, press the Power button while pressing and holding
the Stop/ Reset button.
2) When the Power is lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while pressing and holding the Power button.
3) When releasing the Power button and the Stop / Reset button (regardless of order), the printer will move into a
service mode. (Waiting for menu selection)
4) When the on/off lights in green, press the Stop/Reset button the specified number of time(s) according to the
function listed in the table below.(Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in
orange and green, starting with orange.)note: press 4 times for waste ink counter reset.
The number of the Reset

0 time Green Power off
1 time Orange Service pattern print
2 times Green EEPROM print
3 times Orange EEPROM reset
4 times Green Waste ink counter reset
Tapi pas gw lakuin ternyata boro2 masuk ke service mode yg ada malah printer gw mati lg krn tombol power nya di pencet lg (Opt No.2)
nah akhirnya gw yg gw lakuin adalah:
1. Tahan tombol Stop/Reset trs pencet tombol power trs lepas lg tombol power nya(tombol Stop/Reset tetep ditahan), kl ga dilepas tombol power nya kan printer nya ga idup tuh.
2. Ketika printer nya dah idup dan stand by siap nge-print(bkn pas warming up), pencet dan tahan tombol power lalu pencet tombol Stop/reset beberapa kali(berhubung waktu itu ngasal gw lupa brapa kali nya ;p)
3. Lepas tuh tombol power biar printer nya mati, trs idupin lg... kl hoki MP-150 nya bisa nge print lg hehehe.

| Re: Reset ip1700 by danisuhadi (4/10/07 9:58 PM) reply | + / - | Saya ngalamin ngisi ulang tinta ip1700 tapi setelah penuh ink levelnya tetep low. Baru kemarin saya dapat di forum ini resetter ip1600, dan coba-coba aku lakuin seperti yang disaranin temen-temen. Tapi kok, printer berubah jadi ip1300? Nginstall ulang drivernya juga percuma, karena Windows ngedetek sbg ip1300!
Akhirnya aku coba lakuin langkah ini. Oya resetter ip1600 dapet diunduh dari http://www.servicemanuals.ru/download/canon/ip1600st.zip
1. Kalau sudah diunzip jalankan GeneralTool.exe
2. Pilih USB port printer
3. Centang EEPROM CLEAR
4. Klik LOCK RELEASE maka pilihan di SET DESTINATION akan tampil
5. Klik pilihan iP2200E (jangan yang lain!)
6. Supaya yakin printer kita dikenali sbg iP1700, maka klik DEVICE ID (akan tampil status printer di kotak besar di sampingnya)
7. Kalau sudah, klik MAIN dan PLATEN di pilihan CLEAR WASTE INK COUNTER (printer akan berkedip sebentar)
8. Siapkan kertas kosong untuk ngeprint, lalu klik tombol TEST PATTERN 1
9. Insyaallah berhasil

hi friends.. nih aku punya solusi buat printer ip1700 yang lagi naik daun BLINKING nya. aku ada tips untuk mengatasinya, tapi berhubung lumayan panjang langkah2nya, jadi aku upload ke server yang nyediain fasilitas sharing file. temen2 bisa download secara gratis dan mohon beritahukan dengan yang lain juga, supaya semua bisa mengatasi masalahnya dengan tenang ... ;)
OK guys... selamat mencoba, dan semoga membantu.
Oh ya, didalam file tersebut juga ada reseter untuk segala jenis printer epson.
