I am a student and need urgently need a fix for my HP PSC 2110.
I normally would tinker with the printer to solve a problem, but
I just have these essays and lots of work for school, very tied
up for time. My printer occasionaly makes a "rap-rap-rap-rap"
sound, about once every second really fast, and is non functional.
I learned that turning it off for a minute and plugging it back in
solves the problem. Today, it exhibited the symptoms again, when
I was scanning a page on the scanner glass. I tried to make a copy, and the printer made its "rap-rap-rap-rap" sounds. I turned
it off, unplugged for one minute, and plugged back in. The sound
usually starts after the initilization sounds, but stopped. I tried scanning and copying again, and the carriage jammed a little bit out of the right service station. I don't see anything jamming the carriage, encoder strip is fine, but the carriage won't even budge (like a rock) when I tried to move it manually. i am very frustrated, and need your help qwickly. i also did a reset by holding left button and cancel button, still no change.
