canon i470d has 804 error on printer display

I've got this error on the printer. I notice the print head will not move out when you open it to change the cartridge. Is there a reset code for this error? I'd like to try to reset it and then see what happens.
I found a manual online. It says the Purge unit may have to be replaced or the circuit board. Anyone know what a Purge unit is or where exactly it is in the printer?

Hi

Purge unit is a component, which takes care of the print head, i.e. a very key component in a printer. Error 804 indicates indeed some fault in the purge unit or mother board, so you have to "take it to the doctor".

Hi

Resolution is just to take to a service, because purge unit cannot be replaced by user.
