 | Epson Stylus Photo 820 issue.. by SeanY (9/6/05 6:04 AM) reply | + / - | Hi, Anyone know why this 820 initializes then goes to what's called "Fatal Error" mode? The power light goes off and it leaves two red LED's flashing. Thanks, SeanY

Fatal errors generally occur when the power light is on and the other lights are on or blink. Alternating lights usually represent a maintenance request, ie. the waste ink pads are nearing their full state.

 | Re: Epson Stylus Photo 820 issue.. by debi garcia ferry (12/19/05 6:43 AM) reply | + / - | I ran out of black ink and bought a generic black cartridge thats supposed to be used on a epson 820. Since I installed it the red and green lights first just stayed on, now they are on but both flashing. I took the cartridge out and put the empty one in hoping to correct the problem (because it was printing fine before, just not in black) but still have power light(green) and trouble light (red) flashing/blinking on and off.HELP!!!!

What gives and what can I do to fix? Thank you.
