When i plug it in, the motor starts up and after a few seconds stops. The telphone handset light is on (green) and the Cancel light is on (orange). Both are steady. There is no flashing.
There is noting on the LCD Display Panel.
ALso when I plug into a PC using a USB Port on my computer, the printer is not identified or recognized as is normally the case with a USB device.
Can anybody help

If nothing at all ever appears you may have a bad formatter board.
You might want to try a NVRAM rest, hold down the "*" and "menu/enter" buttons while plugging in the printer, after a bit there should be a messsage on the screen indicating the reset is occuring.
Please let us know the results.

Yes I tried that trick already.
Absolutely nothing shows up on the LCD Panel. The green light next to the Fax/Send and the orange light above the Cancel button is all that is on.
Sometimes, when you plug in the power, it will make a startup noise, pull two sheets of paper and then stop.

After performing the NVRAM reset, the cancel light and Fax/send lights are both constantly lit.... But nothing else.
Any further suggestions? What part is it likely to be?

 | Re: HP Laserjet 3330 mfp by lpt-man (4/10/08 8:47 PM) reply | + / - | I have the same problem on a customer repair. Fortunately, I have two parts machines to swap parts with. It is not the machine's formatter board, the board with the USB and parallel ports, that made no difference. It turned out to be the Scanner Formatter board C8066-60002, right above the main formatter on the scanner assembly. I swapped it out and the machine came to life again.
Problem is that the first board I tried, the scanner bulb would not light, the second board made it stick on Scanner Bulb Warming then the Scanner Failure. So if cleaning the scanner mirrors and glass does not solve a Scanner Failure, then it is this board causing that problem too. The 3300 series is a great machine, it's too bad they put this crappy board in it.
