 | Epson CX5400 blank pages by crashryan (7/17/05 8:49 AM) reply | + / - | All,
I've read several posts on this problem but need another idea before I just junk this printer. It's over a year old. Colors started to lighten until no colors (even black) were printing. Of course we did the "buy new cartridges" trick, not the problem. Read up on this site about the cleaner kit. Purchased it and tried it although I kind of thought it had to be something else as it was highly unlikely all four would get clogged at the same time. This did a nice job of filling up paper towels with ink but didn't fix the problem as the nozzle test still prints nothing.
Looking for other ideas of something a user can replace or try before I consider this a lost cause.
thanks, Steve

If you push the cartridges out of the way and slide the service station to the right you'll be able to see underneath it and see if there is a clear plastic tube connected. There are lots and lots of posts dealing with the tube and how to reconnect it.
