 | HP DeskJet 5550--Rapid, Fast Flashing Lights by Help Me (3/9/05 5:52 PM) reply | + / - | I just recently purchased a used HP DeskJet 5550 Series printer, the printer appears operable but, when I turn it on, all of the lights on the front panel start blinking and flashing RAPIDLY and VERY VERY FAST!
When I try to open the top cover, nothing happens, the cartridges DO NOT MOVE. The printer has no other functions, it only has the fast flashing lights.
I have checked HP.com and their technical support page and called them and they can't help me.
Does anyone know what is wrong?

For some strange reason, HP used to say to press the resume button, now all they say is to unplug it, and if it doesn't work, take it to service. Hmmmm... Sounds like they are trying to ear more money off of that...
