If it does, then it has to be a software issue and I would go to hp.com and download the latest software, uninstall what is loaded, turn the computer off and back on and then reload. If it does not print, I would check the cable between the computer and the machine. Good Luck.

 | Re: hp offcejet g85 scanner inop by mitwallner (5/13/08 6:50 AM) reply | + / - | I have an HP OfficeJet G85 all in one printer. It wasn't working properly because I upgraded to an Windows XP. I followed the installation and set up, which called for me to uninstall the printer and then re-install it. When I tried to re-install it the disc that came with the printer was not compatible with Windows 5.1, 5.2 ,and 5.3 error, came on the screen. I went to HP's website and downloaded the new drives, but that still doesn't get the printer's features setup. Does anyone have a fix for this besides buying a new printer, which is HP's solution.
Thanks,
Mitch

In spite of its age, your Officejet G85 is a "solider" machine than many of the newer models.
