 | HP 9000 by bob (11/15/04 10:46 AM) reply | + / - | I have a HP 9000 that is getting a 13.20 error message. It says to look in the front door and when you do and do not find anything you close the front door and then it gives the same error but with the message to check left hand door. I changed out the hvps and it does not work in a different 9000 nor does the other one work in the original printer. Any advice

 | Re: HP 9000 by Kev (12/28/05 11:00 AM) reply | + / - | My HP900 exhibited all of the same symptoms described above. I was able to get my printer back in working order by first blowing out the dust and paper lint via an air hose and then installing a maintenance kit (Consisting of new feed rollers, transfer roller, and fuser assembly). My cost for the above referenced kit was about $315.

 | Re: HP 9000 by Anonymous (3/19/07 2:30 PM) reply | + / - | The 13.20 error is basically one of three things...
1) An actual paper jam, normally around the fuser. 2) A bad fuser. 3) A bad HVPS connection. If something was recently done to the printer that required the back cover being removed I'd check how the contacts beneath the high voltage power supply are seating. They should wrap up and over the posts and not be tucked back behind them.

 | Re: HP 9000 by corbin (8/31/07 12:07 PM) reply | + / - | Go to this web site http://www.partsnow.com/service_today/0202tt.asp I had the same problem, however this news letter did not help. In my printer I had to replace the wiring harness because the duplexer would not work. After replacing the harness, I got 13.20 paper jam. After two days of head pounding, and two new DC controllers, a new fuser, and other replacments. I found that the new wiring harness was defective and had a couple of nicks in the insulation and were shorting out. It blew up two DC controllers. I put another wiring harness in and another DC controller to finally fix the problem. I found the problem after taking one of the DC controllers and installing it on another 9000 printer and it came up with the 13.20 jam. So, something had to have been blowing up the DC controllers. The only thing I had replaced before the error was the wiring harness. Lesson learned, don't trust parts made in China!!!!
