My 1270 started printing magenta lines across paper, extending beyond actual image. Does anyone have an idea what it could be? Below is an example. http://tarkhan-mouravi.com/lines.jpg
Michael: Usually when I see that type of problem its either a dirty Printhead Assembly, or a possible failing Printhead Assembly or a failing Main Board Assembly. Its possible that your problem is being caused by a build-up of dust, dirt, lint and hair that sticks to the wet ink on the bottom side and backside areas of the Printhead Assembly. That build-up acts like a small paint brush hanging down and can actually smear wet ink on the paper, or it can transfer wet ink to the paper, as it goes under the Print Head Assembly, during the actual printing process. If that is causing your possible problem, then once those two areas are thoughly cleaned, the problem will normally go away. Check for a couple of e-mails from me that should help in that area, in case you want to do the cleaning and at least eliminate that possibility...Good Luck! Denny Conway

The printer stops printing (about 1/4 way into page A3 & A4) photo. It then spits out the paper and will try to feed in another sheet. The no paper light comes on. When I add paper the printer will print rubbish as long as I keep feeding paper.
Any help will be appreciated.

Remove the printer cable from the printer and the computer then reconnect them. Try a page. If that does not help then update your drivers. Printed gargage is usually related to the cable. They can degrade over time.
Sometimes the printer port will fail. But start with the basics first and start at the printer cable.
