Hi, guys, im down here in Australia and the epson printersR210, R310 ,and R510 just hit the market couple of months ago, the uk, and us. models are R200, R300,And R500. There is a continuous ink supply system available for these models at www.ozmods.com they even have automatic reset chips that reset themselves when the printer is turned back on. Cant recommend them enough, fabulous results,on prints and cd s,at a fraction of the ink costs.
Hi guys well heres the prob I have a R310 and the waste tank was full after only a 3 month stint. I have managed to clear the problem of the error message " parts are at the end of their life" this worked for a few hours and now i have internal error please refer to book I have done this and reset the printer again and then dissconected the printer from the computer. But its still there locking me out of the printer. So Help please any ideas.

You will need to find the adjustment program to reset the protection counter. However if it's only 3 months old it should still be under warranty. Contact Epson customer service and tell them the problem. And let Epson deal with it.
Wes.

Where do I find the adjustment program I live nearly 5 hours round trip from a service centre. and they want me to leave it with them for 5 days to reset it. Them I would have to go 5 hours driving again so if you can piont me in the right direction it would help a lot. Thanks

hi, i also have this problem, and this is the second printer epson have given me now, so fixing this problem with the ink pads being full and needing to reset the syatem myself would save a whole lot of time.

Have you tried out InkRepublic.com's ink kit for your R300 ? how's their product ? I tried several continuous ink systems from other suppliers before, they all have problem (major problem). I dont want to spend more than 300 bucks to buy a piece of crap.
I saw http://www.InkRepublic.com selling their kit with low price as well as some decent design, but plase kindly provide your experience regarding InkRepublic.com's kit; if they are good, I will go for it. My R300 is so eager to have a CIS. thx !
Re: continuous ink system by tim (8/23/04 12:24 PM) reply
Hi tim, thanks for your offers. Unfortunately, those itmes on ebay are not the one I am looking for.
I already got a cis from inkrepublic.com, they work great! plus their ink kit is not like those one on ebay.
I tried several cis kits before, just like those one on ebay, they all try to dirll hole in cartridges. I dont like this design, besides, it wasted me a lot of time and money.
Regarding the design, price and function, I wold give inkrepublic.com A
thank you.

hi guys, just to answer a couple of queries here, yes, inkrepublic.com and ozmods.com have the same product for sale. we use what they call a "damper". similar to a cartridge but with no sponge...so you don't get sponge deterioration. also, our products are airtight so the only way you will get air in the lines is if you let your ink get too low. these other units are sponged carts and have big problems with air leaking into the system. if anybody has any questions i can be contacted either here or directly via our website at ozmods.com
cheers,
scott

hi all, actually the inkrepublic.com and ozmods.com cost 24$ if you buy more that 10 pieces and they are manufactured in Taiwan. Is not their own concept. I should know I manufacture CIS since 2 years. Also the price for the ink is not so great I import mine from US for about 40$ per gallon straight from the factory. Lucian
Re: continuous ink system by altoids (2/8/05 12:05 PM) reply
Lucian, I dont care where they are from, as long as they work. Who cares?
InkRepublic.com has great reputation in this industry so far, their kit, their ink are great. At least they dont clog my expensive epson 2200 printer. my experience toward inkrepublic so far is so much better than other cis manufacture
Re: Re: continuous ink system by Anonymous (2/9/05 3:04 PM) reply
I guess it is just a joke. $24 is from China. Chinese always want to use low quality (cheap) product to gain business first and runaway b/c of high RMA volume.
I guess InkRepublic.com has excellent product which is more worthy than $24. Dont be silly, you are buying a quality product and service, not cheap crap.

It is great to see many people here are using CIF system. Ink Supply (MIS) sold me a poorly constructed, leaky CIF system which had the little chips on the tanks floating around in the bottom of the package with about an ounce of magenta ink. OK so when I cracked up they sent another one. This one was just as poorly made and killed my brand new (Epson) printer. MIS didn't want to know me when I demanded a refund. Over $300 on their rubbish and more than $700 for 2 printers. I'd have been better off buying $700 worth of Epson ink. At least I'd have had some photographs to show for the cost! I am sure they are sponged CIF system. The sponge does cause many problem.
I took a look on inkrepublic.com's website, they seem to have good solution for CIF, and price is more reasonable for any other vendors.
Re: continuous ink system by Larry (2/11/05 5:43 PM) reply
Hi Guys, I said is 24$ each if you buy more like 10 sets. InkRepublic import all the CIS from the same Taiwanese manufacturer. Is not a joke who said I am here to make jokes. I build my own CIS for less like 14$,and I am happy with them. 2 of them run for more like 2 years with no problems. I see no point spending 200-300$ for nothing. Same with the ink I place the last order for about 70 litres and comes to about 7$/litre . If you want to pay for a brand name this is another story. Lucian

Another brand of Continuous Ink System available in Australia. All EPSON inks are made and imported from USA, and the CANON inks are from GERMANY/JAPAN.
Hi! Can you send me the instructions (if you have them) because I bought a R200 and I Want to make myself, cause CIS is very expensive here (Argentina) Thank you! (and sorry by my english)
Re: continuous ink system by Anonymous (8/6/05 4:53 PM) reply
I've been reading through the info here on CISS, needed one for for my r200 and have just ordered a continuous ink system as the price seems very good and it looks fine. Ordered from www.continuousink.com in the UK , will let you know what it's like when it arrives and I (hopefully!) manage to fit it ok.
Re: Re: Re: continuous ink system by Anonymous (8/21/05 12:59 AM) reply
Yep it arrived and I fitted it without any fuss in about 10 minutes. The colours look great and so far so good!! Phew! Going to get one for my 1290 next and will post when its on.

I can not belive this,I get this stupid message "The installed ink cartridges differ from the original EPSON ink cartridges for this printer" and the printer can not recognize the cartridges. I did until now at least twenty R300,I use the same chip brand, and I write them myself(nonwriten chips are cheaper less like $1) for the specific printer. This is the first time when I get this message, maybe somebody knows if Epson upgrade the firmware for R300???? Even if they are autoreset chips I put a resetter on them,I use the original Epson service software, ssc utility and still nothing. Anybody with a new idea????? L
Re: Re: continuous ink system by Broan (8/29/05 4:57 PM) reply
To use continuous ink system, you may also want to install waste ink device that can hold the wastge ink externally without using your waste ink pad inside the printer.
Has anyone had any experience using Echostore.com for a CIS system? The claim to use the sponge-less systems and are a lot less expensive than InkRepublic. Are there other systems that people would recommend over or instead of the ones from InkRepublic? Thanks,
Re: continuous ink system by e-gys (2/28/06 8:26 PM) reply
I got a CIS system from www.echostore.com for my printer(R200) a month ago, it works great. at first I did not believe them, after all the price is so different. after I saw "100% satisfaction guarantee", I purchased it(if it does not work, I could return it to them). So far so good. It really save my money. I used a lot cartridges(I have to replace every week, it cost me MUCH MONEY!!!) before. now I do not worry about it any more. I notice they have many CIS for Epson,Canon and HP printers.
Re: Re: Re: continuous ink system by Anonymous (3/16/06 7:12 PM) reply
I recieved this CIS system a few weeks ago for my R300. I think it is great. No problems what so ever. It comes with a waste ink tank and the software to reset your waste ink counter. It will also work with an R200, R220, Etc.
Go to Ebay and look for item # 150059320198.
It shipped to me in the US directly from Hong Kong in less than 2 weeks. Instead of Buy It Now, I placed a bid and got it for .99 GDP (3 US bucks) and shipping was under 20 bucks.

Hello All! I hace installed a CIS on one of my printers lately (Epson CX1500) and the printer said: "ink cartidges are not installed correctly." I already used cis systems on my other Epson models and they work just fine until this model shows the message when i try to use one in it. Can you please tell me what to do. Thank you very much
Re: continuous ink system by Anonymous (9/11/07 5:29 PM) reply
just buy a chip reseter and replace the auto reset chip with the original epson chip. reset it everytime the ink runs "out". The autoreset chip don't works on that model.:(

After having to retire my old HP 940c (still works but just very slow compared to today's printers), I decided to go with a cheap route and bought a new Epson C88 (new off eBay, $60 shipping included) and a CIS from a reputable source, a total of a little over $40. I did notice some cheaper CIS system on eBay but when one seller suggested using sublimation ink for the CIS, I didn't bother looking for CIS on eBay. Sublimation isn't used on ink jet printers.
The CIS carts doesn't have sponge, the cart looks like it's designed for CIS and has built in auto resetter. My plan is when there's problem and cleaning nozzle by any method no longer works, I'd have already saved over buying new carts to replace the whole set.
I got the CIS because I'm averaging one refill job a week with my HP printer, and those cart could hold upward of 50mL of each color. Epson cart is only 10mL, but the external reservoir is 100mL each color. Assuming same ink usage as with HP, I should be able to go about 2 weeks or so before I need to refill.
I would have preferred HP for long life but seems most newer printer comes in a tiny cart that only lasts maybe 50 pages, a day's worth of printing at best and I don't want to keep replacing them, nor refilling them a lot. There are high end printer with larger ink carts but I'm cheap =)
