You can try this tool

http://www.servicemanuals.ru/download/canon/i-320.htm

Download the tool and use the program to reset your printer

i had waste full error on canon i320, i called canon tech support. they said to throw it out there was no servicing this part. no code reset etc. i almost threw it out but it has been a good printer for over 5 years. i found this fix on this site and it works to reset printer.
the correct codes are:
1. Press and hold the POWER button
2. Turn off the printer by disconnecting the printer power cable,
3. turn on the printer, still holding the POWER button
The indicator (L.E.D.) should be green.
4. Press and release the RESUME button , the indicator (L.E.D.) should be orange.
5. Press and release the RESUME button again, the indicator (L.E.D.) should be green.
6. Release both buttons.
7. Reconnect the printer cable.
8. And it should be reset.

I will share my own experience...dougschif's reset code system seems OK....but here's the rest of the story: I powered down the printer, opened up the door, and found what I think is the Waste Ink Reservoir. It's a foam strip that fits in the floor. It really was overflowing with ink. I gently washed it in warm water, gently blotted it with paper towels, dried it with a hair dryer on cool. I cleaned the printer floor with a rag soaked in warm water.

Then I closed the door, powered on the printer, opened the door, and removed the print head. I took out the ink cartridges, pulled up the bar that removes the print head (see the i320 set-up guide, http://www.usa.canon.com/cpr/pdf/Manuals/i320_Setup.pdf )

I used the warm, damp rag to clean off the crud and ink on the print head, replaced it and the ink reservoirs, and then did the reset codes.

Next was the print head alignment....and our printer seems alive again.

Thanks for the help, folks! I despise the fact that cheap printers, at least HP and Canon, are designed to self-destruct, generally right after one stocks up on printer cartridges.

Great company, fixyourownprinter.com! I've bought stuff from them to fix other printers. Let's keep doing business with them.
