You go into the control panel menu, find the test menu and print a self test page. That will tell you how many pages are printed. Maintenance kits are a WASTE of money. Don't replace any parts till they go bad. Some fail before the alloted time, some go twice as long. My motto is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
