 | HP Color Laserjet 1600, color ink only streaking by DonkeyBalls (7/14/10 11:56 AM) reply | + / - | I have a HP Color Laserjet 1600. The issue is that the color ink, namely the red and yellow, are printing all over the page in a streaking fashion. The black print looks great. Any print that is supposed to print in color now prints like "3-D", where the text is slightly separated in red and blue colors, so if you put on 3-D glass it would look ok. Also the electronic transport belt assy. inside the printer toner door is covered in red and yellow ink. Does the elec. transport belt assy. need to be replaced? Any suggestions would be helpful, Thanks!

I'm not sure if they have the same menu, but if you go into the System Setup menu, there is a Color Calibration you can run. As for the ITB, you really don't ever want to change one of those. You can just get a soft cotton cloth and clean it. The toner comes from the cartridges. They have waste bins and once they fill up, they leak out onto the paper and the ITB.
