hi, working on a kyocera fs-720 with a strange led indicator error after power on. hope someone can shed some light into the problem.
upon power on, it went through the normal start up sequence like both green and red leds are on, and then they blink alternately for about 10 times.
then it comes up with a repeating pattern as follows:
both leds on both off for few seconds both leds blinks 3 times green led blinks 2 times both leds blink once freen led blinks 2 times
then the pattern repeats all over again.
the machine didn't even try to turn over. the light pattern started right from power on.
status monitor on the pc would first say printer not connected. then says it has a problem with the printing system and call for servise. page count is only 31,418 pages. hardly any work done although a few yrs old now.
any help would be much appreciated. thank you.
edit: does anyone know where to download a service manual for free? had already google but no luck. also, is there a cold reset sequence that i can try?

apparently the machine was out of toner. after replacing the toner cartridge, the machine was recharging the developer for a few minutes and the fuser thermal switch had tripped due to overheating.
took out the thermal switch from the fuser and dropped it hard on the floor to reset it (trick of the trade). put it back together and the machine ran for a few more minutes to finish recharging the developer. it was all fine after that.
